Prof. Dejan Verčič, PhD, is a partner at Herman & Partners, an entrepreneur, consultant, researcher, lecturer, and author.
Dr. Aleksander Zadel is a Doctor of Psychology and a specialist in clinical psychology. He is employed at the C.A.R. Institute. He focuses on the development of individuals and teams, coaching people in the most demanding positions in business and the public sector. Companies that prioritize people at the center of sustainable success often seek him as a consultant.
Assoc. Prof. Petra Došenović Bonča, PHd is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, where she researches public sector economics and health economics. Her 2011 PhD thesis, titled Innovations as a Factor of Efficiency and Performance of Hospitals in Slovenia, also focuses on this field. She is a member of the Health Advisory Panel of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the Project Council of the National Health Insurance Fund for the establishment of a comprehensive management of the DRG system and the Health Council, which is the highest professional coordinating body of the Ministry of Health. She is also a member of the International Health Economics Association and The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research. From 2013 to 2017, she coordinated the EQUIS international accreditation for business schools at the Faculty of Economics. She has published scientific papers on the Slovenian healthcare system, reforms, and policies and is the co-author of the textbook Ekonomika zdravstva. She actively participates in healthcare consulting projects and is the head of the Master’s program in Management and Economics in Health Care. She teaches courses in health economics and is actively engaged in lifelong learning programs in the field of health economics.
Assoc. Prof. Branko Gabrovec, PhD, holds a Bachelor's degree in Logistical Processes in Healthcare, a Master's degree in Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality, and a PhD in Healthcare System Organisation. He started his career in a hospital at the secondary level of healthcare, continued at the primary level, and since 2014 has been working at the tertiary level, at the National Institute of Public Health. He is a habilitated teacher in the field of public health at the University of Ljubljana. He is the author of several scientific and professional works. He has led several research, applied and policy projects in the fields of health system organisation, public health and healthy ageing. He is currently Director General of the National Institute of Public Health.
Vlasta Mežek, MSc, is the Principal of the Accessibility and Economics Directorate at the Ministry of Health. She has extensive experience in areas of healthcare and the economy, having worked for many years on healthcare system financing, public health economics, and strategic healthcare policy planning. Throughout her career, she has led key projects in the areas of healthcare service accessibility, financing optimization, and the integration of the healthcare sector with the economy. Her work includes financial and other analyses in the field of healthcare, while she also has extensive experience in developing systemic solutions for the long-term sustainability of the healthcare system.
Bojan Ivanc is the Chief economist at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), Director of the Institute for Strategic and Economic Research (ISGR d.o.o.), a member of the supervisory board at NLB Skladi, a member of Council of the Centre of International Cooperation and Development (CMSR) and the Vice president of the CFA Society Slovenia. His responsibilities include economic forecasting and providing support for GZS in areas of social dialogue, national and sector politics. In the past, he has worked as a financial analyst in two banks. He is a regular columnist at Delo and Finance, and he also publishes articles for Bančni Vestnik, a professional banking magazine. Additionaly, he is a member of the Strategic Council for Macroeconomic Issues.
Prof. Dejan Verčič, PhD, is partner and knowledge director in Herman & partners, Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is a consultant with 30 years of experience in private and public sector. In 1991 he was the founding director of Slovenian national news agency (STA). He is also professor and head of Centre for marketing and public relations at the University of Ljubljana. He received his PhD from LSE, UK, and he was a Fulbright scholar at SDSU, USA. He is past president of European public relations education and research association (EUPRERA). Recently published bibliographical analysis found him the second most quoted researcher in the field of global public relations. He is recipient of Pathfinder Award by the Institute for Public Relations (IPR) in New York.
